Eastern and Central Downhill Champs at Aston Hill

Entry is now open for what's possibly the greatest downhill mountain bike race east of Hereford - the Eastern and Central Regions Champs, being held at Aston Hill on Sunday 4th September. It's on the now-legendary 423 track and spaces are super-limited - get your entries in quick! Entry prices have been held from the Black Run race earlier in the year so it's also a bit of a bargain, especially as it's a BCF National (single points) event - ideal for all you point chasers out there. Aston Hill Champs Simon Slater of www.simonslaterphotography.co.uk is going to have a team of photographers at the race and will be offering same-day prints. Aztec have pledged their support by offering each racer a set of brake pads and GoPro are coming along to show-off their new toys - expect plenty of head and chest-cam action! SRAM and Rockshox will also be providing some great prizes, including fork servicing at the UK Rockshox HQ - perfect for the end-of-season privateer. The bacon in the proverbial butty will be catering provided by the fantastic Café in the Woods and Extreme Medics are booked in to keep riders fighting fit on race day. Aston Hill Champs In total there are nine categories, including hardtail and female, with each rider getting two timed runs. All race runs will be recorded by the reliable Aston Hill veterans Mikrotime, with the faster run counting. http://www.rideastonhill.co.uk
